Jay Cady took his first solo flights in 2015 and his passion for paragliding began. His professional paragliding career began in 2019 and has evolved into what is now Progression Paragliding. Jay's home site is Woodrat Mountain in Ruch, Oregon, U.S.A. where he serves as safety director for the local club. During summers he coaches SIV, does one on one XC/thermal training, flies tandems, and competes in XC racing competitions in the U.S.A. In winters he coaches XC tours in Roldanillo and Piedechinche, Colombia. In 2021 he also started competing in the Paragliding World Cup and made his debut on the U.S.A. paragliding team in the FAI Paragliding World Championships. His focus as a professional is to aid pilots in their progression by helping them build a strong knowledge base and skill set to keep them safe and enjoy our sport for many years to come. We build community through helping those around us.
